Who is this super-experienced, constantly innovative, and top-notch creative force?
Why I Believe Marketing is Voodoo
Hear me out…
There's a connection between marketing and voodoo.
Successful marketing and branding embodies a mix of the right tools and intuition. It's part data, technology, and a huge dose of artistry and luck.
One of the most transformative marketers of our time, Bob Pittman, the co-founder and creative force behind MTV and now CEO of iHeart Media, describes great marketing as containing Math and Magic. He has a podcast with the name where he explores this concept with the world's top marketers. The point is, marketing combines data and art, or as I like to call it, tech and voodoo.
Everybody has the same tools and tech, but not everyone understands the voodoo! Make sense now?

Don't take my word for it
Jerry is the definitive Creative Director and an asset to any organization. His vision is clear and unique and he is able to exact and implement that vision with clarity and efficiency. I was hired by him and worked for him for over two years. In that time I learned more than I could have imagined. He pushed me to work within his direction without micromanagement and with goals and directives that allowed me to grow and produce better and better work.
He never asked for anything less than my best, and created an environment that made me want to, and allowed me to, produce my best work.
I can wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Jerry Wagley as the best supervisor I've ever had the pleasure of working under.
Jerry is a creative director who does not think like others. He is not afraid to step out of the box to create an idea or image that cuts through the daily clutter.
As department heads, we worked very well together, always having open and honest communications. I would highly recommend Jerry to anyone looking to break out of doing things the same old way.
Working with Jerry was an absolute pleasure, and I would enthusiastically recommend him to any organization.
His commitment to creating a collaborative, and by extension, safe space made working on launches and projects a pleasure. Also, he is intellectually curious and his understanding of the current state of the industry and emerging trends made him a powerful ally in a very competitive space.
